Roads may soon be like Scalextric if Plastic Roads take off

Plastic Roads you say, nonsense, sure they would bend and become brittle in the elements. Not according to a company called VolkerWessels who have plans to create an actual test road network out of hollow plastic. VolkerWessel say that the roads can last three times longer and survive temperatures ranges of between -40F and 176F.

The roads themselves are hollow meaning that cabling for street lighting, powered cats eyes and more which is a very good thing and should reduce road deaths and road costs.

Cities such a Rotterdam are also interested in setting up the new roads. What do you think, it could certainly solve the age old problem of potholes.
