Instagram Business Tools rolling out

Instagram have been wanting to beef up their business tools for companies who operate on Instagram and today they have finally begun to roll out their new Instagram Business Tools which looks very similar to Facebook Pages Insights, a tool used by Facebook Page owners.

These new tools will allows business users to see what times of the day are most active in terms of viewers for their account to allow them to harness this information and post smarter.

Instagram said in a post today:

With so many companies using Instagram, and many people on the platform interacting with them, there was a desire from our business community to do more. So we listened. And, after hundreds of interviews with businesses, three key needs became clear — stand out, get insights and find new customers.

Business profiles will be a free feature for accounts wanting to be recognized as a business. With one of these profiles owners can choose how they want their customers to get in touch with them: call, text or email with a tap of the contact button.

I do wish however that Instagram would just roll out Insights to everyone, not just Instagram, if it is going to be free anyway, why not. The new tools and accounts will be rolled out to the US, Australia, and New Zealand and everyone else by end of 2016.
